This. Really.

I was so upset.

I mean how could she even think that I was to blame. This wasn't my fault, it was totally on her. Seriously, how hard is it to understand. We should have had that conversation with her parents. And just because I say, "We should tell your parents..." doesn't mean that she should actually go tell them.

Time out.

Maybe it only happens to me, but this conversation actually happened. Honestly, IT happens a LOT. What's even more embarrassing is that I'm the guy that has THE saying.

"There is nothing so simple that it can't be misunderstand." - Mister Smarty Pants (a.k.a. me)

Yet again I have NOT listened to the Holy Spirit, and definitely haven't considered that my amazing wife could possibly be speaking the truth. But to often this is exactly what I do.

This time of year is one of the hardest for me...and I know I'm not the only one. The holidays are meant to be about family, love, joy, celebration and so many other things. And I love the holidays. It's just that every year around the holidays I seem to struggle. A LOT.  I pick fights with my wife about the MOST STUPID things. I get upset at my kids more than usual. Anything that can go wrong seems like it does.

The worst part is I know what's causing it AND how to fix it.

"8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8 KJV

I mean HELLO! Our enemy wants....to...destroy...us. Its so obvious. Why is it so easy to forget. Especially during the holidays I am reminded that WE must be ready for his attacks. Satan wants our holidays to be miserable. He wants us to hate the time we are meant to celebrate our greatest treasure. This year during the holidays remember that God is so much bigger than anything that the devil can throw at you.

Celebrate the Real Reason for the Season! Merry Christmas!
